Will I be required to do home study?Yes, as you learn your new skills you will need to practice on friends and family. Written assignments and research will also need to be carried out in your own time. Here at RENU we believe quality time is the key to quality learning. Our class sizes are purposely kept small to keep this ethos. Our normal class sizes are 8 - 9 learners.

This qualification is based on the National Occupational Standards for Hairdressing. You will complete your training in our commercial salon using the latest tools, equipment and techniques.
Assessment takes the form of observation of practical competence within the commercial salon; which is then backed up with written assignments and questioning to assess knowledge.
Practical assessments are completed on paying clients and must be completed within a commercially viable time as stated in the NVQ.

Understanding assessment in Education and Training
This course is for those interested in a teaching career in further education or for those who have recently started teaching. It will enable the learner to enter teaching employment and progress on to broader teaching qualifications. This award is designed to equip a wide range of teachers/trainers and facilitators with the skills and knowledge required to fulfil a teaching role. This course covers preparation, planning and basic course design. They will also gain teaching delivery skills and participate in microteaching sessions. Evaluation skills and techniques also form part of the course content. This qualification provides a sound introduction to teaching/training and is suitable for both experienced practitioners who would like to secure a professionally recognised qualification as well as those new to teaching. This course can be delivered face to face or online depending on circumstances.

The primary outcome of the Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement is to prepare you to enter the specific sector of education and training as a vocational assessor. All the units in this qualification relate directly to the specific job role of an assessor. The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement is a substantial qualification that will prepare you for a career as a vocational assessor.
It is a practical qualification intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment, and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace e.g. training environment. Entry onto this qualification will require you to have full competence in the vocational subject area that you will be assessing and you will need access to a cohort of learners, so that you can gather evidence of real assessments.

Internally assure the quality of assessment
The VTCT Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice is a practical-based qualification intended for those who maintain the quality of assessment from within an organisation or assessment centre.
The qualification is made up of two units giving the teacher/trainer the knowledge and practical skills to carry out the process of internal quality assurance.

NOCN Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment
Looking to gain your CSCS card?
Whether you are new to the construction trade or whether you are experienced and need a refresher course to update your card….this is the course for you.
New to the trade: You will be required to attend a 3-day course where you will gain knowledge on all topis relating to health and safety within the construction environment. At the end of your 3 days you will be required to sit your exam, once you have completed this your certificate will then be released from NOCN. From there, we will arrange your CSCS test at the test centre in Shrewsbury. Once this is completed and you have been successful with your results, we then apply for your CSCS card to be delivered to you.
Experienced tradesman: The previous will apply, but you will only be required to attend 1 day of training as you will already have the knowledge of being on-site. You will then go on to sit your test at the test centre in Shrewsbury.
Age Restriction: 16+
Progression route: Applying and taking your CSCS test to gain your CSCS labourers card.
