Who we are

RENU Training Academy LTD opened its doors in 2016 founded by Gail Smallman predominantly focusing on the delivery of Hair and Beauty qualifications. Gail has over 26 years’ experience in the Teaching and Assessing industry and created the academy to be able to offer young people and adults hairdressing and beauty qualifications. Gail has since been joined by Charlotte Walder who is also a Director in the company who again brings a wealth of experience in the education sector.

Since 2016, we have expanded rapidly, not only offering Level 2 hair and beauty qualifications but also:

Level 3 Hairdressing, Level 3 Beauty Therapy and Level 3 Teaching and Assessing.

Recently we have been helping post-16 learners gain their CSCS card by running A 'Health and Safety within a construction environment' qualification this will them prepare them with the knowledge and tools to then pass their CSCS card exam.

As well as post-16 education, we also offer qualifications to pre-16 learners. We are situated in secondary schools across Shropshire and Telford as an alternative provision for those students who struggle to engage in full time mainstream education and are at risk of becoming NEET. This has proved to be very successful to help learners re-engage back into education. Students cover either Hair and Beauty, Construction or Vehicle Maintenance qualifications.

We are continuing to expand the vocational sectors delivered within schools and post-16 so we can support as many students as possible and give them the best start to their careers.

Our Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy courses are accredited by VTCT Skills which is a UK and international awarding body. Recognised in leading brands or salon chains around the world.

Our Construction, Vehicle Maintenance, and Health and Safety qualifications are accredited by NOCN who specialise in regulated UK and international qualifications.
